The call

On this call we'll

A private conversation with Matt. It's a diagnostic, not a pitch.

01

Work out what's actually driving the pressure

Using your role, your week and your own examples. Not a template.

02

Show you how the 45 days would work for you

What we'd build into your toolkit, around your nervous system, your life and your workday.

03

Tell you straight if it's not the right fit

And what to go and do instead. You'll leave clearer either way.

The actual problem

You haven't lost what got you here

Since stepping up, it can feel like the confidence that earned you the role has gone missing. It hasn't. The ability and resilience are still there. What's changed is the altitude.

01

Every decision turns into overthinking

You used to trust your judgment. Now you second-guess a call for hours, days or weeks, and overprepare for meetings you'd once have walked into.

02

You're permanently behind

Firefighting every new request and reshuffling your priorities again. You're working harder than ever and the list still gets longer.

03

You can't switch off, so you can't sleep

You're knackered all the time, but the moment your head hits the pillow it's replaying today and rehearsing tomorrow.

04

Your training has stopped being fun

The runs, the rides, HYROX, the Strava PBs. You're KPI-ing your downtime because it feels like the only way to switch off.

05

You're home, but you're not there

Weekends disappear. The people who matter get what's left of you, and another month has gone into work.

All five are the same problem underneath

The survival kit you used to climb to this level won't cut it at this new one. And working longer, thinking harder or training more is just more of the same kit.

Why pushing through stops working

The playbook that got you promoted is the thing hurting you now

It probably worked well on the way up. At senior level it can become downright dangerous to your health and your career.

The old playbook

  • Work harder than everyone else
  • Always be available
  • Always have the answer
  • Deliver quickly and push through
  • Burn off the stress on the tarmac or in the gym

At this altitude

  • More responsibility, with less clear answers
  • More visibility, with less direct control
  • Bigger decisions, with more uncertainty
  • Pushing through makes it worse, not better
  • You work with the mind and nervous system creating the pressure
What you get

Four things, in 45 days

Together we build you a bespoke, practical toolkit designed around your nervous system, your life and your workday, ready to use in the field when it matters most.

1

Slow the overthinking

Make the big decisions and trust your judgment again, instead of second-guessing for hours, days or weeks.

ProofGraham, newly promoted sales director: “I now have the skills and techniques to face my emotions head-on and manage them in a way that works for me.”
2

Stop feeling permanently behind

No more firefighting every new request and endlessly reshuffling your priorities. You get on top of the job and stay there.

3

Switch off and sleep properly

Tools to actually come down at the end of the day, so you wake up with the energy and clarity to be at your best.

ProofRoy, new senior paraplanner: “This is the first time I've ever felt calm, having suffered with anxiety for years.”
4

Keep the career without paying for it at home

Feel confident you can sustain the career you spent years building, without your health, relationships and life outside work becoming the price.

ProofDenise, client service and operations manager: “Matt helped me understand my own pressure and how to deal with it, but also how to help my employees with theirs.”
The question you want to ask

Is this just breathing exercises?

No. Instead of pounding the tarmac, using the gym as a tranquilliser, working longer or overthinking just to feel in control, you learn to work directly with the mind and nervous system that is creating and sustaining the pressure.

01

Neuroscience-backed

Every tool is rooted in how the brain actually handles stress, focus and decisions.

02

Refined in real practice

Developed over thousands of hours of clinical and private practice, not lifted from a book.

03

Built for the working day

You reset and rewire how your nervous system operates under stress, with tools you can use in the moment it matters.

04

For life, not for a fortnight

The aim is the calm and confidence to succeed at this level for the rest of your career.

Matthew Landers
Why take my word for it

I read the old playbook cover to cover. Then it broke me.

I'm Matt. I've spent my life in high-visibility, high-performance spaces: on stage, in TV production, as an educator in some of the country's most challenging institutions, and as a corporate trainer delivering workshops to high-performing executives.

The old playbook was my bible for my whole professional life, until a panic attack doing what I loved forced me to reassess everything I'd learned about performance and mindset.

Now I'm a trained psychotherapist and a breathwork and meditation teacher. I've helped thousands of people gain control of their mind and nervous system, so they can reach their full potential without working, thinking or training themselves into the ground to do it.

Straight answer

Who this is not for

Better to find out here than three weeks in.

  • You want a quick hack. This is 45 days of training your mind and nervous system. It takes practice.
  • You want to be told to work harder. You already know how to do that. It's what got you here, and it's what's stopped working.
  • You're not willing to look at what's driving the pressure. The tools only work if you use them, honestly, on the real thing.
  • You need urgent help. If you're in crisis, this isn't the right route. Please speak to your GP or call NHS 111.
Questions

What you're probably thinking

Is this therapy?

No. Matt is a trained psychotherapist, and that training shapes how he works, but this is a 45-day training course. You learn practical tools and build a toolkit you use at work and at home. If Matt thinks you need a different kind of support, he'll tell you on the call.

I'm not really a meditation and breathwork person.

Most of the people Matt works with aren't. There's no fluff and no vague wellness talk. Everything is grounded in neuroscience and explained in terms of what your nervous system is doing under pressure. If a tool doesn't work in the middle of a real working day, it doesn't go in your toolkit.

I already train hard. Isn't that how I manage stress?

Training is great. The problem is when it becomes the only way you can switch off, and you need more of it every month to get the same effect. This doesn't replace your running, riding or HYROX. It means you're doing them because you enjoy them again.

Won't this settle down once I've got on top of the new job?

That's the old playbook talking: push through and it will sort itself out. The role isn't going to get smaller. What changes is how your mind and nervous system respond to it, and that's a skill you can train.

I'm already flat out. How do I fit this in?

The toolkit is designed around your life and your workday, to be used in the field when it matters. Ask Matt on the call exactly what the 45 days would involve for you, and decide from there.

What does it cost?

Matt will take you through it on the call, once you both know it's the right fit. If budget is the thing you're worried about, say so in the first five minutes.

Is the call a sales pitch?

No. It's a straight conversation about where you are and whether the course would help. If it's not right for you, Matt will say so.

You can do this job. Let's give you the tools.

Sleep properly. Come home and actually be present. Enjoy your weekends and your training again. Answer a few quick questions, then pick a time to speak to Matt.
